New Landmarks Videos Have Arrived on Knowva
To round off October, Knowva Premium has added five brand new videos to the Landmarks category. These short explainer videos help children explore some of the world’s most famous and awe-inspiring places in a clear and engaging way.
Each video is created for children aged 4 to 11, using friendly narration, simple visuals, and carefully chosen facts that help children understand why these places are special.
Which landmarks are included?
This new collection brings together a mix of historic sites and natural wonders from different parts of the world.
- Taj Mahal, a world-famous building with a powerful story behind it
- Aurora Borealis, explaining how the Northern Lights appear in the sky, direct from space!
- Colosseum, exploring one of the most recognisable buildings from ancient Rome
- Machu Picchu, introducing a historic city high in the mountains
- Mount Everest, learning about the tallest mountain on Earth
Why landmarks matter
Learning about landmarks helps children connect history, geography, and the natural world. These videos explain why places are important, how they were built or formed, and why people continue to protect and visit them today.
Landmarks also give children useful reference points for future learning. When they later hear about countries, cultures, or historical events, these places already feel familiar, making new information easier to understand.
As with all Knowva videos, these are ad-free and distraction-free, supporting calm, focused learning. More Landmarks videos will continue to be added as the category grows.
